Hundreds of people attended this meeting. Richard Moth (left, standing) spoke about his imprisonment and torture by the Italian police. Richard was clear that the Italian authorities had only behaved like this because they were frightened of the growing strength of our movement.

Despite the brutality that speakers described, this was an upbeat meeting. Speakers described how the anti capitalist movement has involved millions round the world, and continues to go from strength to strength. People went away to build such events as the Counter Conference on 29 September.
