PDF Files
PDF is a file format used to send artworks - such as designs for leaflets - over the Internet. PDF files always print out the same way on any computer, including both Windows and Mac machines, and they take full advantage of the capabilities of different printers.
To view and print PDF files, you need software called Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is already installed on some new computers. If you don't have it, the software is available free from Adobe's website - click the yellow box marked "Get Acrobat Reader" at the bottom right of the page (December 2001.) Acrobat Reader is also available on some of the free disks you get with computer magazines.
