Sunday 30 September,
Brighton
Pass this motion:
This meeting
notes:
1. New Labour's plan to introduce widescale privatisation into our
public services
2. That New Labour does not have a popular mandate to press ahead
with Tory-style policies
3. That across the globe thousands of people are fighting back
against the free market agenda of the WTO and IMF, which Tony Blair is
intent on pursuing.
4. That Globalise Resistance, the Green Party, the Socialist
Alliance, George Monbiot, Mark Serwotka (PCS General Secretary Elect,
personal capacity), and many other trade unionists and campaigners have
called a demonstration outside the Labour Party conference in Brighton on
Sunday 30 September to protest against Tony Blair's right wing policies.
This meeting
resolves:
1. To sponsor and publicise as widely as possible the demonstration
on 30 September
2. To send a delegation to the demonstration on 30 September
Sponsors include: Globalise Resistance
