| There
are special controls at the Italian border during the summit. This
shouldn't be a problem, but check the details here. |
Getting to Italy
Genoa airport will be closed during the summit. You can fly to nearby
cities - we understand you can still get a return flight to Turin from the
UK for 70. If you do this, you shouldn't be subject to the special
border controls.
Getting to Genoa from the Rest of Italy
There may be delays to the west of Central Genoa during the summit - this
is the route from the Conference Centre to the airport, which is where the
fat cats will be arriving and leaving. If you can, approach Genoa from the
east.
Buses
Scheduled bus services from Turin, Milan and Pisa will continue to run
during the summit.
Trains
Trains to Genoa will continue to run during the summit. However, one train
station may be closed, and trains may be rerouted and delayed.
Road
Travel on the motorway to Genoa - to get into Genoa for Saturday's demo,
leave the motorway at the Nervi exit. After the demo, use the Genova Este
junction.
