Month of Pie-rect Action Against Capitalism - Global These cheery folk tell us "Previous targets have included Bill Gates, Ann Widdecombe and John Prescott. Action for Satpal Ram Picket the Parole Board, 12-2pm, Tuesday 3 April, John Islip Street, London SW1P (Nearest Tube is Victoria) Satpal Ram was unjustly convicted of murder in 1987. He is a Bengali man who was attacked by a racist in a restaurant and was stabbed. He was forced to fought back with a knife. The racist died after refusing medical help. Though most defence witnesses at Satpal's trial spoke only Bengali, no interpreter was provided. Satpal has faced 13 years of racist abuse in prison. Protests Against the FTAA - Qu�bec, Canada FTAA will remove any barriers to free trade and multinationals in the whole of North and South America. Groups from environmentalists to longshoremen (dockers) are joining protests to stop the talks to create FTAA. Protests are planned in fifty cities, mostly US. More info at www.a20.org.
