Includes victory rally for the
Sintraemcali occupation against privatisation, with union president
Alexander Lopez speaking
Why a conference weekend? To launch a
truly national campaign:
 |
To deepen
our understanding of conditions in Colombia and to analyse the
multinational economic interests generating poverty, displacement,
environmental devastation and state terrorism; |
 |
To
establish a broader and active unity of forces who are opposed to
human rights violations in Colombia and who want to be part of an
ongoing political dynamic of solidarity action; |
 |
To
consolidate the work of the previous 9 months and involve members
through a democratic process so that the Campaign works with agreed
priorities and structures that encourage involvement; |
 |
To
interchange ideas and experiences with a view to supporting each
other as well as our brothers and sisters in Colombia. |
