Mayday 2002 - Pass this Resolution
We welcome the united Mayday demonstration against privatisation and war called by the London Mayday Organising Committee (including the South East Region TUC and Greater London Association of Trade Union Councils) and Globalise Resistance.

We welcome the fact that for the first time on a working day the demonstration has been allowed to march to a rally in Trafalgar Square. | ||||||

We believe that this is one step towards reclaiming Mayday as a day to celebrate workers' organisation and struggle. | ||||||
|
We believe that this demonstration is an excellent opportunity to show the scale of opposition to New Labour's continuing drive to privatise our services and to their support for Bush's war drive on Iraq. | ||||||
