Young people in Lewisham are being targeted by the police under new powers to disperse groups of two or more in Lewisham High Street. Under the new Dispersal Order, a police constable or PCSO can tell people in a group to leave and bar them from the area for up to 24 hours. To remain or return to the area having been told to leave is punishable by three months imprisonment and/or a fine of up to �2500.
