Saturday 1st July 2006 1:30 - PM Waverley Road, Plumstead Common JUSTICE FOR PAUL COKER OF PLUMSTEAD Paul Coker from Plumstead, South East London, died in police custody in the early hours of 6 August last year. Paul was arrested after police were called to a house in Plumstead following a non physical dispute between Paul and his girlfriend. Even though they were advised that the dispute had been resolved 15 police officers turned up and witnesses say that they heard Paul screaming for his life. Restraint methods were used on Paul. He died 2 hours later in Plumstead police station. How can a fit, 32 year old man, who went to the gym every day die in custody? He died alone in pain, fear and anguish.
