Balfour Beatty is a huge company that makes massive profits from the suffering of ordinary people across the world.

It is deeply involved in the Ilisu Dam project in Turkey, and is a key player in the consortium who will take over London Underground if New Labour get to privatise it. BB are also leading the charge to build PFI hospitals, and to screw yet more money from the public sector. All this because it's not satisfied with making �94 million in profit last year.

On the eve of the next one-day tube strike, a show of strength from all those opposed to the corporate power of Balfour Beatty would be a brilliant start to this action by rail trade unionists.

Balfour Beatty bosses probably won't be affected by the tube strike, since their chauffeurs won't be joining the action. They will be affected if they are blockaded in their offices at the end of a hard day's wheeling and dealing, sacking and profiteering.
